At last page 11, in which nothing happens. I promise in about 90 pages something will finally happen. Kidding. About which part I'll let you decide. Hehe.

What is Cordic signing? It's ASL made fantasy because I figure fuck it, constantly writing stuff is boring and wild gesticulations are a pain to draw but more interesting. Also, hope :iconsuperashbro: doesn't mind but now Midnight has a brother. Who is also deaf and a half breed, except he takes after the nightmare side in appearance but doesn't shape shift into people's deepest subconscious terrors. He just looks like what nightmares look like to people who can't feel fear (like their father, ooo, thought it'd be the mother who was human, didn't you? Nope, their mother is a nightmare, literally).

Oooh, I don't mind at all if it benefits the story ;). In fact, I may at some point draw Midnight with her brother (whose name and personality will be determined by Seventh Sanctumn, of course :XD: )

Body modification is dangerous magic. With a cross breed like Midnight's brother, the side effects are unpredictable, and so they haven't attempted any sort of corrective spells yet. He's still a teenager, and they want to wait until he reaches adulthood to minimize any sort of dangerous long term effects that might arise by attempting any modification before physical maturity is reached. In fact, the theory is that his deafness is a consequence of his mixed heritage as the biologies of nightmares and humans are fairly dissimilar. Midnight is lucky in only having a terrifying shadow.

Hehe, I tend to over think these things.
